You can access your app settings from the top right corner of the Drive View.

| Always ask before transcribing | Always confirm the language when transcribing a file; we recommend keeping this enabled if you transcribe files in various languages. |
| Always ask before detecting speaker | Descript will always ask when detecting the speakers in the project to verify which speaker is which. |
| Default AI speaker | You can set a default speaker label when starting a new project in Writing mode, making it easier to assign the same speaker. This is particularly useful for new content rather than labeling speakers in pre-existing projects. |
