Importing Riverside recordings into Descript (beta)

Import Riverside episodes directly into Descript. This feature is currently in beta. See the known issues and limitations for more details.

Not seeing the Export to Descript option?

Some users may not see this option in Riverside. It’s controlled on Riverside’s end — please contact Riverside support to request access to the Descript export integration.

  1. Go to your Riverside Dashboard and locate the recordings you want to export. If you just finished recording, exiting the Riverside Studio will take you directly to the corresponding recording page.
  2. Click Export > Descript in the top-right corner.

  3. Choose which participant recordings to include and click Edit in Descript.
  4. Sign in to your Descript account, or sign up to continue.
  5. Name your project, choose its storage location on your drive, then click Create project and import files.
  6. Click Open Descript or Download the Descript app to begin editing.

Reopen the import link

After your project is created, re-opening the original import page will prompt you to open the new project in Descript.

Your Riverside recording will begin importing automatically. You can monitor progress from within your Descript project.
