Add files from your Google Drive directly to your Descript project.
  1. Open the Project panel from the right-hand sidebar.
  2. In the Files section, click the + button.
  3. Select Import from Google Drive.
  4. Sign in to your Google account and allow Descript access.
  5. Select the files you want to import.
The import begins immediately. Track the progress in the Activity panel. A notification appears at the bottom of the screen when the import completes. The project panel of the Descript editor. In the Files section of the sidebar, the + button is selected to reveal a menu, where the Google Drive option is selected.

Import into the Media library

You can also import Google Drive files into your Drive’s Media library to reuse them across projects.
  1. Open Drive view, then select Media library in the left sidebar.
  2. Open the folder where you want the files to go.
  3. Click Add media, then select Import from Google Drive.
  4. Sign in to your Google account if prompted, then select the files you want to import.
The files land in the folder you’re viewing, and each file shows its own progress. When the import finishes, click View files in the notification to see the new files highlighted. If a file fails to download, it doesn’t appear in the Media library, and the original stays in Google Drive.
