Every SquadCast plan deposits a set number of recording hours each month, and unused hours roll over up to a cap of twice your monthly amount. Any unused recording time will roll over from month to month and is limited to 2x of your plan’s monthly hours. For example, if you have a Hobbyist plan with no additional editor members, you have 10 monthly recording hours and a maximum rollover limit of 20 recording hours.

View your available recording hours:

  1. Sign in to SquadCast.
  2. Once you are signed in, click your organization’s icon in the top left corner to see your recording hours.

Monitoring your recording time

You can easily keep tabs on your session history and time accruals by viewing the full scope of your Recording Time by visiting the analytics in your account settings.
  • Monthly Time Deposit: A plus sign (+) next to a time entry indicates new Recording Time added to your account.
  • Session History: Individual bullet points mark each recording session and the time used.

Monthly recording and transcription hours:

If you haven’t already, make sure to connect your Descript account to SquadCast. This will make sure your remote recording time does not count towards your monthly transcription hours when importing SquadCast recordings into Descript.

How can I increase my monthly recording hours?

For linked Descript and SquadCast accounts, recording hours in SquadCast are tied to your Descript plan. If you need additional recording time, the only way to increase it is by upgrading your Descript subscription. Make sure to review the details of available Descript plans to find the one that best meets your recording needs.
