Depending on your location, Descript may charge any applicable sales taxes associated with your subscription fee and any other fees charged by Descript. Please check the sections below to see if your location is included. The amount of tax charged will be based on the billing information provided by the customer. It is important for customers to maintain accurate and up-to-date billing information to facilitate the correct calculation of sales tax. In cases where billing information is not updated, sales tax will be applied based on the prevailing rates of the customer’s state’s tax laws. As the regulatory landscape evolves and our company continues to grow, we may need to adjust our tax policy in the future to comply with applicable laws and regulations. By using our services, you acknowledge and agree that Descript shall not be held liable for any unpaid taxes or any penalties, interest, or other expenses arising from your failure to comply with your tax obligations.

Descript subscriptions and fees may be subject to applicable taxes, including but not limited to sales, use, or other similar taxes, as required by federal, state, and local laws.

Outside of the United States

If you are outside of the United States, Descript fees do not include taxes of any kind, including but not limited to sales, VAT, usage or other types of withholding. Please be advised that you, as the customer, may still bear the responsibility to remit any applicable taxes to the relevant tax authorities in accordance with your local jurisdiction’s tax laws and regulations.
