The Smart transitions feature introduces a powerful way to enhance transitions between scenes. Designed for smooth and seamless scene changes, this tool allows you to rearrange, zoom, and fade elements automatically as you work on your timeline.
Smart transitions are turned on by default for new scenes. Here’s how to turn them off (or back on) for all new scenes
How it works
Smart transitions let you control the transition's duration, easing, and how fades are added between scenes. These settings ensure you can tailor your transitions to fit the style and needs of your project.
Options for Smart transitions
- Duration: Adjust how long the transition takes to complete. A shorter duration creates quick cuts, while a longer duration allows for more gradual transitions.
- Easing: Choose from options like "Natural" to control how the transition progresses over time, adding polish and fluidity to scene changes.
Add Fades Settings
-
Add Fades ON:
- Fades are applied between non-contiguous layers (e.g., two separate clips) to create smooth and visually seamless transitions.
- Fades are not added to clips that are contiguous and cross a scene boundary, ensuring a natural connection between such clips.
-
Add Fades OFF:
- No fades are applied to any layers. This keeps the transitions clean and sharp, giving you more precise control over the visual flow of scenes.
Why use Smart transitions?
- Improved Workflow: With automated fades and transitions, you can save time when creating professional-looking scene changes.
- Enhanced Visuals: By seamlessly blending elements, your projects will appear polished and dynamic.
