Teams can invite other members to join your team drive. As the drive owner, it's important to keep track of and manage your team members and invitations. Here are a few things you should know:
- The drive owner can invite both basic and editor members to join.
- Basic members can only invite other basic members.
- The drive owner receives an email notification when another team member invites a new editor.
- The drive owner can change the status of existing team members between basic and editor.
Viewing your team members
You can view and manage your current team members by visiting this link or in the app by going to the Members tab in your Settings.
Manually approving editor invitations
By default, editor invitations sent by other editors are automatically accepted. However, as the drive owner, you can review and manually approve or decline these invitations. You can turn on the approval setting from this link or in the app by going to the Members tab in your Settings.
Once active, anytime an editor invites another editor, you will get an email where you can approve the invitation. You can always approve the invitation from in the app by going to the Members tab in your Settings.
If an editor invites a new team member as an editor and manual approval is active, they will be invited as basic members until the drive owner approves the editor's invitation.
