Duplicating a composition

Duplicate a composition in the same project

If you would like to create a copy of a composition within a project:

1. Click the down arrow next to the composition name in the top bar.
2. Selectnext to the composition you want to copy.
3. Choose Duplicate from the dropdown menu.
   

Copy a composition to a different project

Descript allows you to easily copy over media from one project to another. It's as simple as copying and pasting.

1. Open the project and view the composition you want to move.
2. Open a second Descript window with the project where you want your composition to go.
   • To open an existing project, go to the menu options in the top left and select File > New > Window, and choose the project from the Drive view.
   • To open a new project, select File > New > Project.
     
     
     
3. Select the composition's script you want to move, then right-click and Copy.
4. Right-click and Paste the script into the other composition's Script editor.
