First, remove the existing background
- Select the layer: Choose the script track or visual layer with the background you want to remove. You can do this from the timeline or the scene editor.
-
Enable Green Screen or Chroma Key: In the Layer panel, go to the Visual Effects section.
- Click the + icon, then add the Green Screen effect.
- If you're using an actual green screen, the Chroma Key effect may give you better results.
- Success! Once toggled on, your background will be removed. You can toggle the Green Screen or Chroma Key effect on or off at any time in your composition.
Then, add a new background image to the scene editor
You can upload a custom image or use one from our stock media library. Add the layer to the scene editor using drag-and-drop or the Insert new layer button.
Reorder your layers
If needed, reorder your layers to place the speaker in front of the background image. From the Scene panel, drag and drop layers in your preferred order under Layers. Learn more about layer visibility and order.
You can also right-click a layer in the timeline and use the available options from the context menu.
Tip
If your composition already includes multiple scenes, use the All Scenes toggle to apply the background change across all scenes. Learn more about Scene Properties.
