The issue of a recording skipping or pitching up sounds usually arises when the microphone sample rate isn't set to 48kHz during recording. The participant can adjust the sample rate in the computer's OS sound settings to fix this. Detailed instructions are in our support document here: Microphone Sample Rate.
SquadCast also provides helpful tools for hosts to gain insights into guest equipment. Hosts can easily view participant details during a session, such as sample rates, OS, and browser version. Expand the participant's menu by selecting the participant's icon in the lower right corner of your in-session display. This can help you determine if any adjustments are needed before recording. You even have the option to modify a participant's equipment by clicking the respective down arrows for the microphone, headphones, or camera.
