If you created a Descript account with a username and password, here's how to view or change your account email address.
Member of multiple drives?
The process for changing your email is different if you belong to more than one drive. Contact support to have your email address updated.
Change your account email address
- Open the app settings with
Cmd/Ctrl + ,and select Profile. - Select the email field and enter the new account email address.
- Check your new email inbox to verify the updated address.
Troubleshooting email updates
"Invalid email" error
You can't update your account email to an address that's already used by another Descript account.
To resolve the error:
- Use a different email address.
- If you own the other Descript account using that email, sign into that account first and decide whether you still need it. You'll need to delete the other account before using that email on your current account.
- If you don't recognize the other account or need help choosing which account to keep, contact support.
Descript accounts can't be merged.
