When you upgrade your plan in Descript, changes take effect immediately, and a prorated credit for any unused time on your current plan is applied to the new plan. For more information on billing, visit our How billing works in Descript page.
Upgrading your plan can also provide increased limits for AI features like text-to-speech, regenerations, and other tools. For a detailed breakdown of AI usage limits, see our Understanding AI Limitations, Features, and Usage Tracking page.
How to upgrade your plan
- Sign into your account from the app or the web, then select your profile picture in the top right corner of the Drive view.
- Select
Settings.
- Select the Subscription tab. If you have multiple drives, make sure you select the drive you wish to upgrade.
- Select Change plan next to the name of your current plan.
- Select the plan and billing cycle you want to upgrade to.
- Choose if you want any additional paid seats and the monthly transcription limits you wish to purchase. If needed, you can also enter or update your payment information before selecting Save changes.
