Leave editor comments during a live Room session

During a live session in Descript Rooms, Hosts, Co-hosts, and Producers can leave Editor Comments—internal notes that are added to the Descript project. This article is specific to Editor comments added while recording a session in Descript Rooms.

Leave a comment during a live Room session

  1. Click the Comment icon in the lower-left corner of the Room window.
  2. Type your comment and click submit.
  3. Your comment appears in the Editor Comments panel during the session and is added to the script after the recording ends.

Editor comments vs. chat

During a Room session, you may see both Editor Comments and chat messages—but they serve different purposes.

Use Editor Comments to leave notes that stay with the project. Use chat when you need to communicate in real time.
