SquadCast automatically captures backups of your recordings as cloud recordings. These backups ensure you’ll always have access to your content—even if something goes wrong with the primary recordings. In some cases, video quality may be slightly reduced due to compression in poor network conditions.
About video backups
Cloud recordings include both conference-style and isolated track video. This means all participants' video feeds may appear combined into one continuous recording.
Download cloud recordings from the Dashboard
- Go to the Recordings tab in the top left corner of the Dashboard.
- Find the session you want, then click the arrow icon on the right to expand the session drawer.
- In the session drawer, locate the Cloud Recording section and click the arrow to expand.
- Click Download Recording next to the cloud recording you want to save.
WEBM format
Cloud recordings are saved in WEBM format. This format isn’t supported by all editing tools and may need to be converted.
