Descript can automatically transcribe your recordings so you’re ready to edit the moment you stop recording. To make sure transcription is enabled during your recordings, follow the steps below.

Enable automatic transcription
- Select
Record from the play dock at the bottom of the Descript window
- Click the Settings cog icon
- In the menu that appears, toggle Transcription for your microphone audio and/or computer audio.
Transcription language
Transcription language is set to Auto by default. You can change your default transcription language anytime in your app settings.
