# Import SquadCast Recordings Directly into Descript

> Import SquadCast recordings directly into Descript.

Send a SquadCast recording straight into Descript to edit, with no downloading and re-uploading in between.

<Warning>
  **Before using this feature**

  * You need to be a SquadCast user with a recording ready for import.
  * Please note, that the Edit in Descript integration with SquadCast is in beta. If you run into issues importing files using Edit in Descript, please download the files to your computer and [use the standard importing workflow.](/getting-started/import-overview)
  * [Dolby Enhanced](/squadcast/dolby-mastering) files and [cloud backups](/squadcast/cloud-recordings) cannot be brought into Descript with the Edit in Descript integration. You will need to [download those files](https://help.descript.com/hc/en-us/articles/23106277058445-Download-Audio-Video-Recordings) and manually import them into Descript.

1. Open your [SquadCast Account Settings](https://app.squadcast.fm/account/settings). You can enable **Edit in Descript** in [the Integrations tab](https://app.squadcast.fm/account/integrations).

2. Select a Show, and then select the session recordings you want to import into Descript.

3. Click **Edit In Descript** in your Workflow at the bottom of your screen. This will open the next browser page.

4. Sign in to your Descript account or [sign up for a Descript account](https://auth0.descript.com/login?state=hKFo2SBnZXktWEVvMjBxRlZ6Q1lwdmJIQllucEt4UENQZUtKbKFupWxvZ2luo3RpZNkgVlpOVjJtamVMQW1uRnBoMlRrWVVNeDdWZXAzeTFxU0mjY2lk2SBWRGZ1N3JnNHBkQ0VMV3NyUWpjdzJ0RzYzYThRbHltaQ\&client=VDfu7rg4pdCELWsrQjcw2tG63a8Qlymi\&protocol=oauth2\&audience=https%3A%2F%2Fapi.descript.com\&redirect_uri=https%3A%2F%2Fweb.descript.com%2Fauth0%2Fauthorize-callback\&response_type=code\&scope=offline_access%20openid%20profile\&code_challenge_method=S256\&code_challenge=LgwqqSQ8UjUID-iiTGKfKSFaDJm7UfOIcmT98-aPmRo\&descript_initial_screen=signUp) to continue. You will see the Import Page.
5. Type in your project’s name, set the storage location on your Drive, select the transcription language if desired and click **Create project and import files**. A prompt will appear to open Descript or download the application.

6. Click **Open Descript** or **Download the Descript** app to open your Descript project.

  **Re-opening the import link**

  Now that your project has been created, if you try re-opening the import web page via the corresponding link, you will be prompted to open your newly created project.

Your SquadCast recording will begin importing as a Sequence into Descript, and you can monitor the progress from inside your project.
