# Enable/disable SquadCast chat groups

> Turn in-session chat on or off for a Squadcast show.

You can enable or disable chat groups for your Show via the [Advanced Show Settings](/squadcast/shows). This will apply to all sessions for that Show. You will need to have a Show Manager role and above in order to access this setting.

## How to enable or disable chat groups for a Show

1. Select the Show on the left side of the Dashboard.
2. In the top right corner, select the **Show Settings** button.
3. Under the Advanced Show Settings section, select the toggle to the right of **Enable Chat in Show Sessions**to enable or disable this feature. This feature is enabled by default.
4. Select the **Save Changes**button in the top right corner. \\
