# Cancel or delete a SquadCast subscription or account

> Cancel or permanently delete your Squadcast subscription or account.

This article covers:

### Cancel a SquadCast subscription managed by Descript

If you subscribed to SquadCast through Descript, follow the steps in the [Downgrading or canceling a subscription](/billing-payments-plans/cancel) guide to update or cancel your plan.

### Cancel a standalone SquadCast subscription

If your SquadCast subscription is managed directly through SquadCast, go to your [Subscription settings](https://app.squadcast.fm/account/subscription) and click **Cancel Subscription**. Your subscription will remain active until the end of your current billing cycle.

### Permanently delete your SquadCast account information

To permanently delete your SquadCast account, [contact support](/connect-with-us/get-help) or reply to an existing request.

  **Important**

  Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. All media and data will be permanently removed, so be sure to download anything you'd like to keep before contacting support.
