What's your refund policy?


Descript provides refunds for subscription charges if canceled and requested within 48 hours of billing. To request a refund, visit our Support page and submit a request, and be sure to include the email address associated with your Descript account.

If you cancel your subscription partway through the billing cycle, cancelations are not pro-rated and your subscription will terminate at the end of your current billing cycle.


White Glove Transcriptions

Our transcriptionists get started on your transcription request within minutes of receiving the request - so orders cannot be canceled once placed.

While we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy for White Glove transcriptions, if you encounter significant accuracy issues with your transcription, you may submit a request with our Support team for a Free redo at no charge. Please provide the email address associated with your Descript account and the details of the issue.

Most transcriptions are returned within a business day, but can take up to 3 business days to complete. If a transcription has not been completed within 3 business days of being initiated, you may also request a refund for the transcription and a member of our Support team will be happy to assist.

Please note that refunds are not available for accidental or duplicate White Glove transcriptions, or if a White Glove transcription's containing project is deleted before the transcript has arrived. Project deletion is a permanent action and cannot be undone.


Additional Transcription Minutes

Descript does not provide refunds of additional transcription minute purchases (one-time boost or adjustments to monthly transcription rate limits).
