Manage how you access your Descript account by adding, changing, or removing sign-in options. Whether you want to link a Google account, set up a username and password, or remove an existing sign-in method, follow these straightforward steps to keep your account secure and accessible.

How to Add Google as a Sign-in Option

1. Sign out of Descript: Click on your profile picture in the top-right corner and select Log out from the dropdown menu.
   
2. Go to the Sign-in Page: After logging out, you'll be directed to the Descript sign-in page. Click on Sign in with Google.
   
3. Select Your Google Account: Choose the Google account linked to your Descript email. (If you select the wrong email, a new Descript account may be created instead of linking to your existing account.)
4. Link Accounts: When prompted, click Link accounts to connect your Google account to your existing Descript account.
   
5. Sign in with your password: You’ll be asked to enter the password for your Descript account to complete the linking process.
6. Confirm in Account Settings: After signing in, go to Settings > Account > Profile and look under Sign-in methods to confirm both Google and Password options are available.
   

How to Set Up a Username and Password

3. Confirm the Removal: Select Remove to complete the process in the confirmation prompt.
