The Ken Burns animation, named after the famous American documentary filmmaker Ken Burns, is a technique that adds motion to still images. This method became widely recognized due to Burns’ use of slow zooms and pans across photographs in his documentaries, creating a sense of movement and storytelling even with static images. Now, you can bring this cinematic effect to your own B-Roll and still images by adding the Ken Burns animation. It allows for smooth, directional zooms and pans, enhancing the visual appeal of your media.
You can apply the Ken Burns animation to a selected visual from the Layer panel. The feature provides several customization options that allow you to create dynamic motion effects.
At this time, the Ken Burns Animation can not be applied to the Script layer.
