Why are some AI actions disabled?

To help users understand why some actions may appear disabled, hovering over these disabled options will reveal a tooltip with more information. Here are some common reasons why a specific AI action might be disabled.

Looking for Underlord?

If you haven’t enabled New Underlord in Descript Labs, you’ll see these actions in the Underlord panel. It’s the same set of AI tools—just under a different name.

Underlord is Descript’s new AI co-editor that can run these actions for you—or you can still access them manually in the AI Actions panel. All users get unlimited access to Underlord through the end of June, so it’s the perfect time to give it a try. Learn more and opt in.
