How do I have my SquadCast recordings have more consistent frame rates?

To better identify when a slow or poor frame rate is impacting your video quality, watch for specific signs during recording or playback. Common indicators include stuttering visuals, where the movement on the screen seems to lag or skip rather than flow smoothly. You might also notice a delay between the audio and video streams, causing them to be out of sync. If your recording feels sluggish or rapid movements appear blurred, these are additional cues that the frame rate may be insufficient. Regularly monitoring these aspects can help you pinpoint frame rate issues and take corrective steps to enhance your video recording experience.

SquadCast recommends avoiding using Safari or iOS devices. These only use variable frame rates while recording and are not something we have much control over. If using a camera, it can also help to make sure the frame rate is set on the camera itself. If possible, there might also be some frame rate settings you can adjust for the camera or webcam's associated driver and/or software.
