Transfer Recording with Dropbox

You can move recording files more easily with SquadCast and Dropbox! Our Dropbox integration allows you to connect your personal or team Dropbox so that you will be able to transfer your files. Our transfer process creates a cloud to cloud transfer from SquadCast to your Dropbox so you don't need to wait around for files to finish downloading.

  1. Navigate to your Account Settings and select Integrations within the left side navigation.
  2. Click the Connect to Dropbox button.
  3. A new modal will be created with more details on Dropbox.
  4. Click the Connect to Dropbox button. This will open up the route to connect to Dropbox.
  5. If prompted, select Continue in the popup.
  6. Click Allow in the Dropbox authentication popup.

  8. You can disconnect your Dropbox account by selecting Dropbox Options after your account has been linked.

How to transfer files

  1. Once your Dropbox account is connected, navigate to your Dashboard page.
  2. Click to expand the Session and Take that you'd like to send.
  3. Click the checkbox next to the desired participants, or click Select All.

  4. At that point, the Workflow box will appear at the bottom of your screen. That should include the Dropbox icon, which you can click to send the tracks to Dropbox.

  5. Transferred Recordings are placed in the following path: /yourDropbox/SquadCast/SessionName/
  6. After selecting the format the transfer will start and a notification will appear letting you know that the transfer is starting.
Large files will be compressed

Recordings larger than 1.4GB will be compressed into a zip file before being transferred. This is due to Dropbox transfer size limitations. We do not recommend transferring files larger than 1.4GB to avoid failed transfers.
