Select your microphone, camera, and speaker equipment before joining a recording session:

  1. Join the session from either the Dashboard or Guest Invite Link. Learn more about joining a SquadCast session
  2. Once in the Green Room, select your preferred device from the dropdown menu for each piece of equipment you want to adjust: Microphone, Camera, or Speakers.
  3. Test your microphone and camera to confirm everything is working as expected before joining the session.
Not wearing headphones?

If you or your guests won’t be using headphones, we recommend enabling Echo Cancellation in the Green Room to help prevent echo or feedback from your speakers.

You can toggle this on before joining a session, or from the Studio once you're in. Just note that enabling Echo Cancellation may slightly compress your audio. Learn more about Learn more about The Choice Between Headphones, Echo Cancellation, & Volume Ducking..

Recording from multiple mic inputs?

Each computer can only accommodate one microphone input at a time. If multiple participants are recording from the same location, you have two options:

  1. Share One Computer and Microphone: Everyone can gather around a single computer and use one microphone. This will create one combined audio recording.
  2. Use Separate Computers in Different Rooms: To record isolated tracks and avoid feedback, participants should join from separate computers in different locations or rooms.

Remote participants can connect as usual from their own locations.
