What is Dolby Mastering?
Subscribers on Creator and above plans can master their SquadCast recordings with one click. Dolby Mastering adds post-production polish through automatic leveling, EQ, and background noise reduction—eliminating much of the need for manual editing by:
- Normalizing loudness to -16 LUFS (industry standard) with Dolby Dialog Intelligence.
- Optimizing speech dynamics and tonality affected by microphone technique.
- Reducing background noise and non-speech sounds.
- Filtering out low-frequency hums and thumps under 100Hz.
- Softening harsh consonants (like “s,” “ch,” or “th”) to improve clarity.
How to apply Dolby Mastering
- Go to the Recordings tab in the top-left corner of the Dashboard.
- Expand the session and select the files you want to master.
- Open the Workflow Drawer and click Master Audio with Dolby.
- In the confirmation window, select Master Audio with Dolby again to start processing. A confirmation message will appear when it’s complete.
- Each selected file will generate a new Dolby Enhanced version.
