You can attach layers to a scene if you want to constrain certain properties of the layer, such as when constraining a looped clip to the scene boundaries.

Attaching a layer to a scene

1. Click to select the layer in the timeline.
2. Drag the left edge of the layer to the left edge of the desired scene until a red vertical line appears, then release the clip to attach it to the scene.
