Creating a Descript Account

You can set up your Descript account in a couple of different ways. Sign up with an email and password, or sign up using Google (Google OAuth).

Using Google Auth

1. Navigate to www.descript.com and click the Sign Up button in the top right corner.
2. Click the Sign up with Google button.
   
   • If you are already logged into a Google account, choose the account you'd like to create the account with from the list.
   • If you aren't signed into a Google account, enter the email address and password associated with the Google account you'd like to use.
3. Descript will begin downloading to your computer. Click the downloaded file to begin the installation.

After it has finished installing, you can sign in by clicking the Sign In with Google button.

Using Email and Password

1. Navigate to www.descript.com and click the Sign Up button in the top right corner.
2. Enter your email, a secure password, and first and last name.
3. Click the right arrow at the bottom of the window to create your account.
4. Descript will begin downloading to your computer. Click the downloaded file to begin the installation.

After it has finished installation, you can sign in by clicking the Sign in to Descript button.

Marketing Emails

Anyone who wishes to create an account with Descript must agree to Descript’s Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

As part of these policies, users consent to receiving electronic communications from us, including transactional emails as well as other types of communications (such as marketing and onboarding communications).

Users may manage their marketing preferences or Unsubscribe from emails by clicking the links at the bottom of the marketing email.
