Typically, this error happens due to misconfigured network settings. Below are a few potential solutions for this error.
Check your network or VPN setup
Do you have a firewall or VPN or some other kind of non-standard network setup? If you do, please make sure that none of the domains Descript needs to function are blocked. See: Network Connectivity & Security
Resetting .hosts file

Reset cloud storage location
On rare occasions, you may receive this error if you've changed the offline storage location of the files setting in your Descript preferences. Resetting this back to the default setting should resolve this issue.
