Volume automation and keyframes

You can adjust the volume over time of your script or audio layers with volume keyframes:

  1. Right click on your script track or select an audio layer in the Script Editor; you’ll also want to expand the Timeline by vertically dragging to the edge of the timeline panel.
  2. Select Add volume keyframe. You will need to add at least two to increase/decrease volume over time

Alternatively, you add volume keyframes by holding option (macOS) or alt (Windows) and clicking on your script track or audio layer in the Timeline.

  3. You can then drag the keyframe in your Timeline to adjust the volume of your audio and the keyframe's position.
