Recording to the script vs. a scene

You can record content in a composition in two different ways:

  • Record to script allows you to record media to the script track. Place your cursor in your script where you want to start a recording.

  • Record to scene allows you to record into a scene. You can record in a scene by selecting the scene thumbnail in your Script Editor.

Note that live transcription is not available - and unnecessary - when you record to a scene. You can always transcribe the recording later from the media library.

You can also toggle between recording to your script and a scene from the recording panel.

Once you make a recording in your composition, the recording file will be stored as a project file in your Media Library.
