When you add media or apply a template to the Canvas, it will only apply to the currently selected scene. This makes scenes useful for dividing the visuals of your composition into distinct sections.

• Dragging and dropping media into the Canvas will add that media to the active scene.
• Adding a template onto the Canvas will apply the template's layout and add its media to the active scene.
