The Drive view is your main hub for organizing projects in Descript. This guide explains how each section works so you can manage projects and navigate your workspace.
Open the Drive view
You’ll land on the Drive view whenever you sign in at web.descript.com or open the desktop app.
To return to Drive view from a project, click Home in the top-left corner of the window.
The Home tab
The Home tab helps you quickly launch projects, learn features, and explore new tools.
Save time by starting from ready-made templates. Templates bundle popular workflow prompts into one click, so you can generate, repurpose, or polish content faster. Learn more about using templates.
Project tab
The Project tab displays all projects you’ve created or that are shared with you. From here, you can create, open, manage, delete, and organize projects into folders.
Filter with tabs
- Recent: Projects you’ve accessed most recently.
- Owned by me: Projects you own.
- Shared with me: Projects shared with your Drive account.
Grid and list view
Use the toggle in the top-right corner to switch between grid and list view. Thumbnails appear after a project is opened or downloaded. You can also change a project’s thumbnail.
Navigation tabs
The navigation pane on the left side of Drive view is where you switch between Drives, invite team members, and access other areas of your account.
| Sidebar tab | Description |
