Descript automatically downloads and organizes data related to your Descript Project in a folder on your computer. This folder is automatically managed by Descript; it is not a folder with which one should normally fiddle. You should use the Descript app to delete Project data (click on the ... in the Project's row in the Project List to delete the data from your computer).

However, deleting this folder is called for at times, usually when you're troubleshooting technical problems. Here's how to find it.

How to delete your Descript data folder

  1. From the Descript app menu, click Help > Debug > Open App Folder
  2. Quit the Descript app
  3. Delete the folder that just opened

If the Descript app won't open
