Use Descript's "Ignore" feature to skip audio during playback, without deleting the text.
This is useful if there is a chance you'll want to add that audio back into a project later.
To Ignore text, select the text you'd like to skip during playback.
In the document toolbar click the Ignore
button, located immediately to the right of the Speakers Dropdown
or go to the 'Edit' menu and choose 'Ignore'.
Ignored text will display with strikethrough formatting and will be skipped during playback.

If you'd like to bring ignored text back later, select the parts you'd like to hear during playback and press the Ignore
button again.
